Profile Adjustments Tip 3: Sensitivity and Reduce Image Noise Settings
What Does This Feature Do?
The Sensitivity Setting and the Reduce Image Noise Setting are used to adjust the level of granularity of your inspection results.
Why Use this Feature?
Sensitivity Setting
Use the Minimum Detection Size to control the pixel sensitivity of an inspection.
Reduce Image Noise Setting
Use the Reduce Image Noise setting when dealing with scanned files that have unwanted differences that are being detected.
When To Use It
Sensitivity Setting
- Increase the Sensitivity to detect more differences in a selected region.
- Decrease the Sensitivity to detect less differences in a selected region.
Reduce Image Noise Setting
- Increase the Reduce Image Noise setting if dealing with ‘noisy’ scan(s) and unwanted differences are being detected.
When Not To Use It
Sensitivity Setting
- Do not reduce the sensitivity to a point where a difference may go undetected. Speak to a GlobalVision technician if you are unsure about your sensitivity level.
