Enable Nextimage Auto-Align
What Does This Feature Do?
Use the “Nextimage auto-align” feature to use the edge of the sample as the point of reference to straighten the scan. Therefore, if the sample was placed into the scanner crookedly, the scanner software will automatically adjust the image and straighten it.
Why Use this Feature?
When using Nextimage, you should always have Auto-align turned on so that scanned images are automatically straightened to avoid inspection issues. If auto-align is not enabled and the image is skewed, you may receive a pop-up message indicating “files do not match” when trying to run an inspection.
When To Use It
- With samples that have defined straight edges.
When Not To Use It
- If the edges of the sample are not straight. In this case, it is better to use manual alignment.
Expert Tips
- Always have the Auto-align option turned on by default.
- Have all edges of the scanned sample visible to help auto-align the entire sample correctly.
